Phantom of the Opera

Wednesday night, my mother, sister, boyfriend, and I went into downtown Portland to see The Phantom of the Opera at the Keller Auditorium.

It.

Was.

Phenominal.

If you love Phantom, and you ever have the opportunity to see it live...DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. IT'S AMAZING. Dear God, it is amazing!!! The woman who played Christine was an amazing soprano, and Raoul was very shmexii. Lemme tell you, I'd tap that.

But oh man, that phantom was...oh gawds...-drools- I mean, the whole being disfigured from birth thing is kinda distracting if you don't have the mask to cover it, but he's very seductive. -purr-
:3

Anyway, school's coming up again, and I'm very excited! Although my sister and I both have the same social studies teacher, which is kinda funny...or not...depends on your point of view I suppose. ^-^

So, I suppose I will see you peeps later!

Oh, P.S. Kumoricon is coming up soon, so I'm pretty excited about that, too!

Cirque du Soleil/Spring Break Musings

Okay, so on Wednesday night, I went to see 'Corteo' (the latest Cirque du Soleil show) with my mum, sister, aunt, cousin, and their friends (yay for girls' night out!) It was so cool!!! I mean, you don't even know (or maybe you do...) but it was just incredible. The entire show was basically a funeral for a clown, but instead of mourning, they were celebrating his life. It was so amazing. Plus, most of the dancers were foreign, which was very sexy. XD

Now, the bad news: I've been sick for the entire break. I know, right? Of all the times to fall ill, it's during Spring vacation. But, whatever. Though I might not make it to school tomorrow, which sucks - I love school.

Yep, I'm a geek - oh well.

Oh, I also joined Second Life over break. I made a few new friends, which was cool. I was in the noob area (since, well, I'm A NOOB!) and I was talking with other noobs. There was one girl there who I said hello to, and she said hi back. Then I said this really long sentence, and she goes, 'I don't speak English...' Her name was Japanese, so I started a conversation in Japanese with her. So we talked back and forth like that for a while, which was cool. Practicing with native speakers - can't get much better than that. ^_^

Well, I'm still sick, so I'm gonna go lay down. Nighty-night, peeps!

Kumoricon '07

Sunday was the most amazing day of my entire life.

Many of you know that the fifth annual Kumoricon was held this weekend in Vancouver, WA. I had a blast and saw many people there that I recognized -
Some A/M club members ~ :iconshiroikaze: (She cosplayed as an Ouran Host Club member - it was totally adorable!!!), :iconsesshomarulove: and :iconanime-otakuu: (I saw these two helping out - God bless them!), as well as Scarlet, Amanda, Buddha, and I believe I saw Shachou at one point...I also saw :iconrikkugrape: and :iconAn-Gee-Lahh: with Petra; :iconserikaarenai: with :iconnazuna-chan:, :iconmasume: and :iconalbino-music:. I went with my friend Maddie.

Highlights of Saturday - I saw 4 people cosplaying the Sanzo-ikkou, got a hug from a Ryuuichi, and we went to the Random Panel of Doom, where this kid solved a Rubik's cube in 1 minute 26 seconds, which was incredible!!!

So anyways, back to Sunday. The second annual fangirl support group lasted for about three hours, and we actually had a squeeing competition - with encouragement!!! The room was divided in half - whichever half was louder won. For our motivation, we had two guys stand in the front of the room.

They were in cosplay as Yuki and Shuuichi from Gravitation. And the room was almost completely full of yaoi fangirls. So for motivation, we got to watch them kiss...*drools incessantly* And then later, Maddie and I got to hug them!!! ^_^ It was so COOL!!!!!!!!!!

And then, as if that weren't great enough, that night we went to the Open Mic karaoke. So the same Ryuuichi I got to hug the day before was there, and five of us - him included - went up to be backup dancers for this one guy doing 'Vanilla' by Gackt. So about a minute into the song, he like walks over to me and starts, like, almost freak dancing in front of me, and I was like, "OH MY FREAKING GAWD!!!" and my inner fangirl squeed with joy.

Even the sucky masquerade couldn't bring me down after THAT. XD

I can't wait 'till next year!!!

Went to Wallowa Lake last week. Anyone who had Lierman this year for science will appreciate the fact that his information about Northwestern geology played on repeat in the back of my mind for the whole trip. XD

On another note, I left the day Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released. We picked up two copies on the way to Pendleton - one each for my sister and I.

I finished the thing in EIGHT FREAKING HOURS. And damn, but it was amazing!!!

I'm tired as crap. Nighty-nights.

My first order of business: :iconserikaarenai: tagged me, so here I go!

1) A weird thing about me is that I'm weird. (Does that count? Too bad, it does now.)
2) I am very opinionated, but at the same time, my opinions contradict each other slightly.
3) I can actually be VERY shy at times. (Shocking, isn't it?)
4) I am not embarrassed by my parents. ^_^
5) I can quote movies, television, books, and other things at the drop of a hat.
6) When I hear the word ' pudding', I laugh really hard.

The rules:
"The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 weird habits/things/hates about yourself" and people who get tagged MUST write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things/hates as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their devpage comments and tell them to read yours..."

Second order of business: anyone want to do a preconcert solo with me this year? I have a few ideas in mind, but they require at least a few people...let me know if you're interested at all. I miss getting together and having our little music practice parties like old times. ^_^ (Holy crap, I sound like an old person...) XD
